In most cases, these issues can be intertwined with one another, causing a great deal of difficult for children, especially with schoolwork. The initial appointment is diagnostic - a sensorimotor exam. After the initial visit, there will be a vision therapy plan devised specifically for your child's needs. These visits are typically 45-60 minutes long, once weekly, with an evaluation at the end of 8 weeks. At the end of the 8 weeks, it will be determined if another 8-week session is indicated. Parents/caregivers should expect to participate in helping with take-home exercises and monitoring for noticeable improvement at home and communicating with teachers at school.
